Update: Aspyr confirmed that Star Wars: Republic Commando is also launching on Nintendo Switch, same date and same price. Temuera Morrison, the voice of clone daddy Jango Fett in the prequel trilogy - and who returned in the latest season of The Mandalorian as Boba - voices Delta-38. In Republic Commando, players lead the Republic’s Delta Squad as clone trooper Delta-38 (Boss), directing teammates Fixer, Scorch, and Sev with tactical maneuvers like breach-and-clear, set sniper position, and hacking locked doors. The revival is a single-player only experience ( Republic Commando had a less-remembered multiplayer mode) with modernized controls. Though 16 years old, the game has a strong following among Star Wars fans, and it was also spun off into five paperback adaptations by Karen Traviss. Star Wars : Republic Commando will launch for Switch and PS4 (it will be playable on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility) on April 6 and cost $14.99, available in both consoles’ online stores.

This in fact marks the game’s debut on PlayStation and Nintendo, as the original was an Xbox and Windows PC exclusive. Star Wars: Republic Commando, the much-loved squad tactics shooter from 2005 that was ported to Xbox One in 2018, is now coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
